Match-Ups: 5-3 +1.75 units
Betting on Nascar is a crap shoot and plate tracks are even worse, there are so many things that can ruin your day. You would have to be insane to make plays on something like that......
So I guess you can call me f'in crazy
Match-Ups (1 unit plays)
Reed Sorenson (+100) over Bobby Labonte (@5dimes)
This would be a multi-unit play if it wasn't for Reed's ability to find trouble. The car is bad fast and seems to draft well, could be a sleeper today.
Kyle Busch (-105) over Denny Hamlin (@bodog)
Another inconsistent but extremely talented driver. I think talent-wise hes one of the best on the track. He just has to use his head and be patient.
A little concern about the Toyota power for the long term(though they say the problems they found on Thursday are fixed)
David Reutimann (-135) over Jeremy Mayfield (@thegreek)
Another driver I think alot of. Another Toyota. I'll take my chances.
Tony Stewart (-115) over Jimmie Johnson (@5dimes)
I like Tony to get the win today, but like Kyle Busch, must stay patient and hold back that agression until the end. He has yet to win the 500 so I think this JGR team will be focused. Another very strong Toyota.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (-125) over Jeff Gordon (@5dimes)
Gonna ride the momentum here. Plate races is what Jr. excels at. I can see him and Stewart 1-2 at the end.
Clint Bowyer (-130) over Jamie McMurray (@5dimes)
In four races at Daytona, Bowyer has three Top 10's. Got to wonder about McMurray after already destroying a couple of cars this week.
Michael Waltrip (+120) over Brian Vickers (@thegreek)
Two evenly matched Toyotas, but I like Mikey's experience and past history here. I'm sure he want to put 2007 behind him, a good race at Daytona will do that.
David Ragan (-110) over Greg Biffle (@bodog)
Gut play. Biffle has had his problems on super speedways. Ragan in two races has done really well here.
A lot of plays, I'll definitely need some luck.
